Which Minecraft server software do you support?
We support Java Edition across the usual server stacks, including Vanilla, Paper, Spigot, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, and most custom server JARs. Tell us the software and version you run, and we’ll build or migrate the server around it.
Can I install my own plugins and mods?
Yes. Use the plugins or mods compatible with your chosen Java server software, with full file access through the web panel and SFTP. You can restart and inspect everything from the live console; our Paper plugin guide shows the basic safe workflow for plugin servers.
How much RAM does my Minecraft server need?
Most small Java servers should begin at 4–6 GB. Player count matters, but mods, plugins, view distance, farms, and live chunk generation can matter more. Use the Minecraft RAM calculator before sizing up.
Will you move my existing world and plugins?
Yes. Managed migration is included. We transfer the complete server data, start it on a testable instance, inspect the logs, and help verify the world before players move. Our migration guide explains what comes across.
Is the CPU actually dedicated?
The wording depends on the tier. The 4 and 6 GB plans reserve one hardware thread and can burst onto its sibling when idle. The 8 GB plan reserves both threads of one physical core with no other customer on it. You can verify the allocation yourself.
How are Minecraft backups handled?
Every plan includes a saved VM snapshot for fast rollback and scheduled off-site server backups for failures beyond the machine. We still recommend testing restores and keeping multiple recovery points; our backup guide covers the full process.
