How to change, cancel, or resume your plan
Plan changes are prorated and take effect on the invoice immediately. Cancellation waits for the end of the period you already paid for. The running server is a separate step.
Every plan action lives on the Billing page of your account. Changing a plan bills the difference right away, cancelling waits until the end of the period you already paid for, and a cancelled plan can be resumed until that period ends.
The one thing that surprises people: changing the plan changes the bill, not the running machine. Those are two different steps and this guide covers both.
Change a plan
Open Billing, find the plan under your plans, and choose Change plan.
Pick the plan you want and the dialog calculates the difference before you commit to anything:
- Due today (prorated) is what you pay now for the remainder of the current period.
- Credit applied appears instead when you move down. The amount is credited against your account rather than refunded to your card.
- Then shows what the plan bills from the next renewal onward.
Nothing is charged until you press Confirm change. If the preview cannot be calculated, do not confirm and retry the dialog. A preview that failed means the change was never priced, not that it was priced at zero.
The proration is calculated at the moment you open the preview, so a preview left sitting for a long time is worth reopening before you confirm.
The server does not resize itself
Confirming the change updates your subscription immediately. It does not rebuild, resize, or restart your server.
Your server card then shows Upgrade pending until our team moves the machine to the new size. Your world, files, plugins, and address are untouched while that is outstanding. Nothing is destroyed and nothing is reprovisioned.

When Change plan is not offered
The button is hidden when the plan is already scheduled to cancel. Choose Resume plan first, then change it.
Cancel a plan
Choose Cancel plan and confirm. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, then it does not renew.
You keep everything you paid for. The server continues running, the panel keeps working, and no data is removed at the moment you press cancel. The card updates to show the plan is ending rather than disappearing from the page.
A plan that never completed its first payment is different: it is cancelled outright and removed, because there is no paid period to run out.

Resume a cancelled plan
While the plan is still inside the period you paid for, the Cancel plan button is replaced by Resume plan. Choosing it clears the scheduled cancellation and the plan renews normally. There is no new charge and no reprovisioning, because the service never stopped.
Once the period has ended, resuming is no longer possible. That is a new order.
What each state means
